On this site I describe the tools I use in my work. I am not saying my tools are all the best. These are personal experiences with things I have used, and an explanation of why. It is about working method, not about files, and it is not an offer of services.
What you will not find here
No cases, parties, courts, docket numbers, lawyers or dates by which a file could be recognised. No findings either: those belong in the report to the judge. As a gerechtsdeskundige, a court-appointed expert under Belgian law, I am bound by the professional secrecy of article 458 of the Belgian Criminal Code and by the duty of discretion in article 15 of the code of conduct for court-appointed experts (Dutch text; Belgian legislation has no official English version), also after an assignment has ended.
About the figures
The volumes, durations and costs on this site come from my experience at the time of writing, and may be out of date: the date at the top of each page says when I checked them. I draw them from different assignments, so no combination of figures on a page describes a single existing file. It is about the order of magnitude. Without figures you would only read here what the vendors already write themselves. Rates and limits come from the vendor or from other sites, and I link to them.
A file is recognisable even without names. A sector, a volume, a month and a region together are enough for anyone who was in the matter. That is why I avoid such combinations.

Do you think a page can be traced back to your file or to you? Let me know at joachimally@gmail.com. I will take the page offline as quickly as possible and amend or remove it. You do not have to explain why.
No advice
This is a description of a working method, not legal or technical advice about your situation, and it creates no relationship between you and me. A gerechtsdeskundige is appointed by a judge, not through this site.
Corrections
If a tool behaves differently for you, a price is out of date or you know a better approach, let me know at the same address.
